Grey, the clouds drift
Thunder, its dreary, piercing truth
Fray, the mists part
Asunder, the dying sun
Skeletal, the remains

Unlit by the sifting void
Envisioning the undying universe
Darkened, the drifting axiology
Ensiferous, the underlying unconsciousness
Oblivion’s resolve

Hideous be the existential
False, the implication of centricity
Imperfect the presumed existent
Purged by the empirical exhumation
Annihilation greets the blind

At an end, imperative futility
Useless, the nebulous dissolve
In the wind, strands of the future
Inexplicable, the incredulous existence
Oblivion’s resolve

Grey, the clouds drift
Thunder, its dreary, piercing truth
Fray, the mists part
Asunder, the dying sun
Skeletal, the remains

Wrote this a couple of months ago, not so sure about which category to place this in, so I've just chosen Experimental > Other, since I use my own sense of poetry rather than any specific structure.

I've tried to leave the poem as open to interpretation as possible, some words may have double meanings, and I want things to take on metaphorical roles if need be. Hopefully it worked, and everyone is able to find their own meaning from the poem - that said, feel free to tell me your interpretation of the poem! :)

Thanks for any feedback in advance.

I like how you linked back to the beginning, also, it is very ayreonesque, and visual, however, I wonder if Ensiferous is really part of your vernacular. I tend not to read to far into poetry, I mainly just stay on the top layer of it, just seeing it as it is.

Ayreoneque is now part of my vernacular, ye savage Ben.

I finally had the time to read this ... nicely written, good use of absence with words to create an ambiguous feeling :)
